23rd June to 12th July 2009 The recently renovated Harleston Gallery is located in an impressive Georgian building on the Old Market Place, and for three weeks in the summer is the hub of the Harleston & Waveney Art Trail. From 23rd June to 12th July 2009 it will host a special taster exhibition of selected artworks from participating HWAT artists, including two guest artists, the acclaimed potter Clive Davies and artist sculptor Derek Nice.
The Harleston Gallery showcases contemporary fine art and crafts from the East Anglian region and beyond. As well as stocking a diverse range of paintings, prints, textiles, ceramics, glassware, metalwork and jewellery, it also hosts monthly art exhibitions. The Harleston Gallery also offers the Arts Council’s Own Art scheme of interest free credit on purchases over £100. Gurney’s, the gallery’s café bistro, serves coffees, teas, brunch, light lunches and evening meals, and is fully licensed. Gurney’s is open 10am – 5pm Monday to Thursday.
