The Cork Brick Gallery has joined HWAT as a new partner gallery this year, and will offer a more intimate taster exhibition, with an exciting range of small and affordable artworks on show by participating HWAT artists. The Cork Brick Gallery, situated in the heart of the pretty market town of Bungay in Suffolk, has been established for eighteen years, with an emphasis on exhibiting the work of local artists, some of which are newcomers, but many have national and international reputations. The gallery has developed an impressive stable of professional artists, including Tessa Newcomb, Margaret Thomas, Lizzie Riches, John Morley, Stephanie Lambourne, Leon Bunnywell, Joceline Wickham, Dee Nickerson, and drawings are stocked by the artist Sargy Mann.
The Cork Brick Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday, from 11am to 5.30pm, and for the duration of the Harleston & Waveney Art Trail will also be open on Sundays, from 11am to 4pm. The special HWAT Taster Exhibition opens on Saturday 27 June 2009, with a private view on Friday 26 June, from 6.30pm - 8.30pm, where you can meet some of the HWAT artists.
